This dataset contains the climate data for the 4 variables (pr, tas, rsds, rlds) to run the Python-Version of WaterGAP. For details please see the ReWaterGAP documentation (https://hydrologyfrankfurt.github.io/ReWaterGAP/). | en |

The data is available in compressed netcdf data format. The spatial resolution is 0.5 deg x 0.5 deg, the temporal resolution is daily. The climate forcing originally was an official ISIMIP (https://isimip.org) climate forcing but is not any longer. However, with the agreement of Stefan Lange (PIK) and his scripts, we updated the climate forcing. In particular, GSWP3 v1.09 is bias-adjusted to ERA5 with ISIMIP3BASD v2.5.0 (for 1901-1978) and combined with ERA5 (for 1979-2023) based on scripts provided by Stefan Lange, PIK. For further details please see the metadata in the nc file. References: Kim (2017) <https://doi.org/10.20783/DIAS.501> for GSWP3; Hersbach et al.
