Funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), the survey was a prelude to the project ‘The Lake Chad Region as a Crossroads’ (2019-2025). The photographs document the survey participants, archaeological fired-brick sites, a sondage, artefacts, and the surrounding landscape.
